Usually held in April this event focuses on cleaning up large swaths of Independence. Contact Doug Andrews if you are interesting in helping or coordinating a clean up in your neighborhood
The Cars-n-Pipes is our annual car show that happens during the Forth of July Celebration. It occurs on the same Saturday that the City of Independence has it's fireworks and festival. Bring out your antique cars or motorcycles and show them off. Or just stop by and vote for your favorite!
The Santa 5K Fun Run is a fantastic way to kick off the annual Christmas Walk held in Independence on the first Saturday of December. One of the flattest 5K races in Northern Kentucky it begins at the Independence Firehouse goes down Madison Pike past the Courthouse and Historic District then finishes where it started.
Every year the IBA awards scholarships towards higher education and continued learning. ANY resident of Independence can apply and there is no age limit. To qualify you need to be acccepted to any secondary college, university, or institution of continued learning. This includes vocational and retraining curriculums.
